Terms of Use
Last updated January 13, 2026
These Terms of Use, referred to as the "TOU", are a contract entered into between:
You, hereinafter referred to as the "USER",
and
The French Athletics Federation, hereinafter referred to as the "FFA", an association governed by the law of 1 July 1901 recognised as being of public utility, whose registered office is located at 33 avenue Pierre de Coubertin, 75640 PARIS Cedex 13, registered under SIRET number 78444873000027.
PREAMBLE
The French Athletics Federation is an association governed by the law of 1st July 1901 whose purpose is to organise, develop and oversee the practice of athletics, in all its forms, within the framework of the delegation granted to it by the ministry responsible for Sports by order of 28 March 2022. As such, it must comply with a legal obligation to safeguard the health of participants in the disciplines for which it is the delegated authority.
Since the adoption of Law No. 2022-200-296 of 2 March 2022 aimed at democratising sport in France and its implementing decree No. 2022-925 of 22 June 2022, the French Athletics Federation sets the conditions under which registration for competitions by adults is, or is not, conditional on the presentation of a medical certificate.
In this context, from 15 January 2026 the FFA requires adults who do not hold a SPORTING LICENCE to provide a Proof of Entry, the "Pass Prévention Santé" (hereinafter the "PPS title"), issued by the FFA upon completion of the PPS Pathway and payment of the amount set by the FFA on the WEBSITE.
This obligation, set out in the FFA's regulations and available on its website www.athle.fr, applies to all adults who do not hold a SPORTING LICENCE and who wish to register for a SPORTING EVENT in one of the disciplines for which the FFA has a public service delegation (notably racewalking, Nordic walking, cross country, 5 km, 10 km, 20 km, ekiden, half marathon, marathon, ultramarathon, trail running, ultra trail, mountain running, etc.).
For minors who do not hold a SPORTING LICENCE, the FFA requires — in accordance with current legal provisions — completion of a HEALTH QUESTIONNAIRE provided for in Article L231-2 of the French Sports Code (hereinafter the "HEALTH QUESTIONNAIRE") and, where applicable, a certificate of absence of contraindication to the practice of athletics in competition. To help ensure compliance, the FFA offers organisers of SPORTING EVENTS who so wish the issuance of a PPS attestation of conformity with these legal provisions by verifying, via the WEBSITE, completion of the HEALTH QUESTIONNAIRE.
The FFA site, accessible at https://pps.athle.fr, (hereinafter the "WEBSITE") is the sole official channel enabling the completion of the PPS Pathway by an adult who does not hold a SPORTING LICENCE and thus the issuance, after payment of a PPS title, allowing them to participate in a race or competition in a regular manner.
To access the WEBSITE, as well as all its SERVICES, you must unreservedly accept these Terms of Use in their latest version and comply with them.

These Terms of Use (hereinafter "TOU") are intended to define the conditions, rights, obligations, responsibilities and limits applicable to all uses of the Website and the Services by any User.
The TOU constitute a legally binding contract enforceable against every person who uses the WEBSITE and the SERVICES.
The FFA allows each USER to use the WEBSITE and the SERVICES, subject to compliance with all the provisions of these TOU.
3. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
The FFA provides USERS who have created an ACCOUNT with access to certain content of the WEBSITE that it publishes and to the PPS Pathway, although some of this content may be reserved for USERS who have been issued a PPS title upon payment.
For adults, the ACCOUNT allows the USER to manage their PPS titles on the website, retrieve all Health Plans (for the USER who had created an account on the WEBSITE before 15 January 2026) and/or PPS titles obtained, and enables them to undertake a new PPS Pathway without providing the necessary PERSONAL DATA again.
For minors, the ACCOUNT allows the USER to complete the QUESTIONNAIRE and thereby obtain a PPS Certificate. It is specified that this option is only available to persons belonging to the U14 category or higher, within the meaning of FFA regulations. Accordingly, for the purposes of this document, the term "minor" shall be understood to mean any person belonging to the U14 category or higher.
In addition, any USER may, if they consent, receive information by email relating to the official information of the FFA.
4. COMPLETION OF THE PPS PATHWAY AND OBTAINING THE PPS TITLE
To complete the PPS Pathway or the HEALTH QUESTIONNAIRE, the USER must have created an ACCOUNT and be logged in to it.
To obtain their PPS title, the USER must have (i) completed the PPS Pathway and (ii) paid the fee set by the FFA to be issued that PPS title, as stated on the WEBSITE.
5. CREATION OF AN ACCOUNT BY THE USER
The USER must create an ACCOUNT to access the PPS Pathway, obtain their PPS title, and access the SERVICES, including any additional SERVICES that may be reserved for holders of a PPS title.
A minor USER, or a USER acting on behalf of a minor for whom they are the legal representative, must create an ACCOUNT by providing the minor's information, in order to access the HEALTH QUESTIONNAIRE and be issued a PPS attestation.

The USER may terminate and delete their ACCOUNT at any time by indicating their wish on their profile and clicking a button provided for this purpose.
PPS attestations and PPS titles contained in the ACCOUNT will remain available to the USER from their date of issue for a period of 10 (ten) years (cf. supra). They will then be processed and archived in accordance with the PRIVACY POLICY available HERE.
The FFA reserves the right to delete the USER'S account without prior notice, without the USER being able to object or claim any compensation, in the event of a breach of the obligations arising from these TOU, in particular the "Intellectual property" and "Protection of personal data" articles of these TOU, or in the event of the USER violating the various laws and regulations in force, whether national, EU or international as applicable, as well as public order and morals.

The FFA is subject to an obligation of means towards USERS in the provision and operation of the WEBSITE and the SERVICES. The FFA nevertheless reserves the right to carry out technical, maintenance or update operations on the WEBSITE and the SERVICES, which may result in a temporary interruption of access.
In all cases, the FFA and any third party involved in providing the WEBSITE disclaim all liability in the event of interruption of the WEBSITE and the SERVICES, the occurrence of a malfunction, or any damage resulting from fraudulent acts by third parties or users.
The liability of the FFA and any third party involved in providing the WEBSITE and the SERVICES cannot be engaged for a cause whose triggering event originates in a case of force majeure, including where such a case of force majeure affects one of its service providers, as well as any event beyond its exclusive control.
